I don’t think there’s any negative relation to the name, it’s just about what gets lazy people in the door. “What the hell is a Hilux?” versus “’Toyota Pickup.’ Ohhh so it’s a pickup!”

Hilux is an awesome name and I hope to one day find a find a first gen Hilux that will actually have badges saying “HILUX.”
